Amy Jane Pretty
Amy Jane Pretty is one of the youngest female to achieve the title of Yachtmaster Instructor, and she’s here to help you realize your sailing dreams! Inspired by her father’s incredible adventures around some of the world’s most beautiful locations, Amy discovered that sailing was in her blood. She took to the helm naturally, swiftly advancing through the ranks of instructing.
Her journey led her to charter some of the largest catamarans in the Caribbean, where she gained invaluable experience and eventually moved into management. Observing a significant gap in knowledgeable and experienced skippers motivated Amy to co-found Pretty Sailing School with her father, Nicholas. Together, they are eager to share their passion and expertise, helping you embrace the amazing lifestyle of sailing!

Nicholas Pretty
Nicholas Pretty, co-founder of Pretty Sailing School, has had a lifelong passion for the sea, nurtured during his time serving in the Royal Navy. His extensive experience in the sailing industry spans various roles, from delivery skipper to head of a charter company fleet, allowing him to sail an impressive array of vessels—from small dinghies to large catamarans—across the globe.
With a commitment to safety and excellence, Nicholas has transitioned to commercial training, sharing his wealth of knowledge with aspiring sailors. His goal is to inspire others to embrace the ocean's beauty and adventure, guiding them to develop their skills and confidence on the water.
